Termite Inspections
A termite inspection is the inspection of the interior, the exterior and the subarea of the structure for the absence or presence of wood destroying organisms. The inspection will last approximately one hour for most single family homes. A written report in PDF format will be sent to you within 3 days to the email address you provide. A copy of the report will be posted on our website for downloading and viewing for 10 days after completion of the report.
Preparation For Inspection
All areas of the home should be accessible for inspection including any access opening in closets for access to subarea of the home.
Test Openings
Homes with stucco exterior can hide damage beneath the stucco. At the time of the inspection, we will recommend installing test openings. Typically between 8-12 test openings ( holes are made using a hammer) will be installed. These openings are the size of a quarter. The test openings are installed in the stucco to check the internal framing. Gen-Tech will patch the holes with a stucco patch but will not paint the patch.
